CRYOTHERAPY

You step into a completely open chamber and within seconds your body is surrounded by a gentle flow of hyper cooled air created by liquid nitrogen.  The temperature quickly drops to about -240˚F as your body’s cold sensors in your skin signal blood to rush to your core.  Your blood is cleansed and toxins are removed as your blood is enriched with oxygen, nutrients and enzymes.

After 2 or 3 minutes, your session is complete and the oxygenated and enriched blood rushes through your body accelerating its natural recovery process.  You will feel a sense of exhilaration as endorphins are released, collagen production increases and your metabolic rate increases burning as much as 500-800 calories.

Recovery time of muscle soreness is shortened and your energy level increases while the release of endorphins aids your body in dealing with pain and inflammation.

How Cryotherapy works

Whole Body Cryotherapy is the exposure of your skin to temperatures of -166˚F to -240˚F for a short time.

During this session, blood vessels in your skin’s surface and muscle tissue constrict, forcing blood away from peripheral tissues and toward your core to protect core temperature (vasoconstriction).  As the blood travels to the core, it passes through the cardiovascular system where it is cleansed of toxins and supplied with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes.  As long as the exposure to the extremely cold temperature continues, the body continues to flush the tissue of toxins and circulate blood between the cardiovascular system and the vital organs on a continuous loop.  This continues to cleanse the blood over and over while continuing to add oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes.

Once you exit the cryosauna, the body immediately begins vasodilation, returning blood to peripheral tissues.  Now cleaner and enriched, your blood warms and enriches skin and muscles.

Over the next few days, the process of restoration occurs and the body returns to a former and better state with reduced pain and inflammation, and increased energy levels.  Recovery times from strenuous workouts and injury are improved and shortened.
