FAQ CRYOTHERAPY

Do I need to wear or bring anything special to my cryotherapy appointment?

If you happen to come directly from a workout, you should bring a dry undergarment. Everything else that you will need for the appointment will be provided by us.

What do I wear in the cryo sauna?

You are required to wear the dry socks, gloves and slippers that we provide to you to protect your extremities. Men are required to wear dry undergarments and women can wear undergarments or bare it all. We also provide gym shorts if desired.

How will I feel after a Cryotherapy session?

Many clients report feeling reduced pain, increased energy and an improved mood.  In other words, they feel amazing! Your body will immediately start to warm up as soon as you exit the cryo sauna. Due to the newly oxygenated blood rushing throughout your body, you will feel the benefits for the next day or two.

Do I need to make an appointment or can I just walk in?

We always welcome walk-ins, but to ensure a specific appointment time, please use our convenient online booking system to book your appointment or download our “CryoActive Wellness” app that can be used on IPhones and Androids to book your appointment.

After the session will I be wet or need to take a shower?

You are completely dry during and after the session. The session does not affect your hair or face so you can simply get dressed and go about your day.

How will I feel if I’m a little claustrophobic?

You shouldn’t be worried. The door to the cryo sauna is never locked. Clients breathe normally from the air in the cryo chamber. You can step out of the treatment at any time.

Is there an age restriction?

Participants should be at least 14 years old and those that are younger than 18 require a parent’s signature on a waiver agreement.

Who should not use whole body Cryotherapy?

If you are pregnant, we do not allow you to do whole body cryotherapy, but if you are breastfeeding you are welcome to do so. Contraindications that we require you to consult your doctor before doing whole body cryotherapy include severe hypertension (BP> 180/100), acute or recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s disease, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anemia, infection, cold allergy, acute kidney and urinary tract diseases.
